After doing a search on this, I can't believe that there's no threads! Nothing mentions the movie Groove, which is one of the most influential movies about the underground rave scene ever. Some people say it had a negative impact, exposing the rave culture to the mass media and bringing down the righteous justice of soccer moms everywhere... others hold it as the quintessential party anthem.
I saw Groove before I ever went to a rave. I was a little disappointed my first time, thinking that it was going to be just like Groove. It was pretty close, I'll give it that - but Groove really does throw a glorious light on raving. Makes it seem honorable. Or something. Anyway about it, everytime I watch the movie I can't help but get that little rush of excitement and nostalgia.
